Permanent Make Up AFTERCARE

BROWS

DO's

    Day 1 (Immediately After Treatment): Blot the brow area after 1 hour with a damp with a lightly dampened clean paper towel/washcloth to absorb excess lymph fluid. Gently pat the area dry and add a small amount of balm (provided to you). Repeat every 2 hours. This is important to avoid hard scabs from forming.

Evening of Day 1

Keep brows dry when washing your face. Clean brows as above before retiring to bed. avoid sleeping on your brows at every cost.


Day 2

Apply balm in the morning and evening only after cleaning with a dampened towel/costton pad. Pat area dry before applying a small amount of balm. (If brows appears shiny, you have applied too much).


Days 3 -5

Leave your brows alone. Scabbing will begin to form, Avoid picking or pulling the scabs at every cost. Allow them to dry heal (No balm, no water).



Days 6-10

Apply a thin layer of balm to the brow area each morning until the scabs are healed. Be sure to apply balm only once a day until the scabs have fallen off.

BROWS

DONT's

    Do not allow the new tattooed brow to get wet other than cleaning the area as directed under the aftercare. 

Do not soak the treated area in the bath, pool or hot tub.


No swimming for 30 days as the salt water or choline can affect pigment retention. 


Avoid exercising for 14 days to avoid any infection.


Do not expose are to direct sunlight. After 30 days, use a sunscreen to avoid your new tattoo from fading.



Avoid touching your new brows and be mindful of sleeping on your back until you new tattoo has healed.


No makeup should be applied on your brows until it has fully healed.


Avoid saunas/steam rooms and sunbeds.


Do not rub or pick at the scabs


You may find that your tattoo will scab and become slightly dry and itchy. If they do pat the area, DO NOT SCRATCH them.


NB

If you are having an MRI scan, inform your doctor that you have had your brows tattooed. If you are planning a chemical peel, microneedling or medical procedure, avoid until after all healing is done.


LIPS

DO'S

Day 1 (Day of procedure)

Every 30mins after your lip blush procedure, gently wipe the lips with a lightly dampened clean paper towel/cotton pad/wet wipe to remove excess fluid buildup. Apply a layer of aftercare ointment (provided to you). 

 

 

Day 2-10

By day 2 the swelling would start to subside, and the scabs will start to have formed. during the next week, your lips will be peeling. This can last from 7-10 days. Ensure your lips are kept moist at all times.

 

After your lips have fully healed, Be sure to use a sunscreen lip balm to avoid the sun from fading your new lip colour.

 

NB

 

If you are prone to cold sores, continue taking your medication for 2 weeks post treatment and to continue using Blistex as advised by your artist.

 

LIPS

DONT'S

 

Refrain from eating anything for a few hours on day of procedure and drink any liquids through a straw only.

 

 

Avoid spicy foods until the sensitivity has eased and the scabbing has formed. 

 

 

Refrain from pulling the dry scabs and avoid exfoliating your lips until all scabs have fallen off.

EYELINER

DO's

    Day 1 (Day of procedure)


    Every 2 hours after your procedure, dab the

    treated area with a dry tissue or dry earbud to absorb excess lymph fluid.


    Evening of day 1


    Wash face with facial cleanser as usual, avoid friction with soap on the eye area. Wet and earbud, squeeze excess water and run along your new eyeliner to avoid lymph fluid crusts from forming. apply very little ointment provided to you ONLY IF REQUIRED. Avoid using any post ointment care if you can help it for the best retention possible. If its sensitive, you can use a very small amount to help any discomfort.



    Days 2 - 10 (Morning & Evening)


    Wipe gently as instructed with cotton earbud above. Avoid any usage of ointment and allow area to dry heal. 


EYELINER

DONT'S

 

Avoid makeup on eye area until its healed completely to avoid any infection.

 

Avoid eye creams until healing is complete.

 

 

NB

Permanent eyeliner will eventually fade due to body absorption and natural exfoliation of skin cells Colour refreshers are recommended every 2 years to make them last indefinitely.

MICRONEEDLING

Aftercare

Immediately After Treatment:

You will look as though you have moderate to severe sunburn and your skin will feel warm and tighter than usual. There may be some bruising or swelling and this will diminish within 24 hours. 

 

Evening of Treatment

Use tepid water for the to rinse the treated area and apply the hyaluronic acid provided to you and massage into the skin. Do not use any other creams with active ingredients or cleaners.

 

Days 2-4 

Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizing over the next few days.  

 

 

Apply sunscreen daily, nothing less than SPF 30

 

Skin Care Products: All of your skin care products should be non-irritating and non-clogging for the first week or so after treatment. 

 

 

Moisturizer should be applied one to two times per day. We also recommend using a vitamin C serum daily to help with healing and to decrease pigmentation. 

 

Sunscreen: It is very important that you use sunscreen to prevent discoloration and sun damage to the skin while it is healing. Use sunscreen daily for at least 3 months after your last treatment. The sunscreen should offer broadband protection (UVA and UVB) and have a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or more. Apply sunscreen 20 minutes before going outside and reapply sunscreen every 2 hours. If direct sun exposure is necessary, wear a hat and clothing that covers the treated area. 

 

Abnormal Healing: If you notice any pimples, blisters, cuts, bruises, crusting/scabs, areas of raw skin, ulcerations, active bleeding, increased discomfort or pain, pigment changes (lighter or darker than usual complexion) or any other problems, please contact us as soon as possible.

 

A week after your Microneedling treatment, most patients note that their skin is smoother, and more radiant

 

WHAT TO AVOID

Avoid touching your face directly after the treatment unless you have thoroughly cleansed your hands.

 

 

Avoid any pets from coming into close contact with your face. 

 

 

Avoid partaking in activities that will heat up your skin, such as going in a hot tub/Jacuzzi/sauna, taking a very hot shower, or strenuous exercise for 1 weeks. 

 

 

Avoid scrubbing, rubbing, or using exfoliants for 1 week.

 

Avoid make up 48 hours after your procedure.

 

Avoid intentional and direct sunlight for 48 hours. 

 

No tanning beds.

 

 

For 1 week, avoid smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, excessive exercise, sweating, swimming, or exposing skin to heat and sun.

 

 

Scrubs, Toners, Glycolic Acid, and retinoids: Your skin will be sensitive for the first week or two after treatment. Do not use products that will cause irritation during this time. Please do not use any scrubs, toners, glycolic acid, retinoids (RetinA or retinol), or bleaching creams (hydroquinone) until your skin has fully healed, and ofcourse unless otherwise directed by your doctor. 

 

DERMAPLANNING

Aftercare

Cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser

You’ll want to cleanse your face gently immediately after dermaplaning. A gentle cleanser will remove any debris or residue left behind on the skin’s surface. Avoid using harsh or abrasive cleansers, which can irritate the skin.

Apply a hydrating serum or face oil

Dermaplaning can leave your skin feeling a bit dry and sensitive. To combat this, apply a hydrating serum or face oil to help nourish and protect the skin.

After your treatment, follow a simple skincare routine.

For two weeks following your treatment, stick to a simple skincare routine. That means using a gentle cleanser, hydrating serum or face oil, and sunscreen every day. Avoid any other treatments or products that could irritate the skin.

Use SPF

It’s important to use sunscreen after dermaplaning since your skin will be more sensitive to the sun’s harmful rays. Choose a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and apply it every day, even if you’re just spending time indoors.

WHAT TO AVOID

Do not wear any makeup for 24 hours.

 

Avoid touching your face.

Avoid using harsh skincare products.

Avoid chlorine and swimming pools.

 

Don’t use retinol or glycolic acid.

 

Don’t expose your skin to the sun.

 

Don’t use hot water on your face.

 

Don’t use harsh or abrasive cleansers.

 

Don’t book other facial treatments for two weeks.

 

Do not engage in any strenuous physical activity for 24 hours.

 

 

MOLE & SKIN TAG Removal

Aftercare

Clients can resume normal activities directly after procedure.

 

A sunburn sensation is often observed. if you feel particularly aware of the treated area, you can take over the counter paracetemol, ibuprofen or anti-inflammatories.

Clean the area twice a day to ensure no buildup of bacteria.

The area should be kept free of makeup, perfumes and lotions until fully healed.

Apply the scar repair cream provided to you once the scabs have fallen off only.  

 

WHAT TO AVOID

Within a few hours after the session, a carbon crust will form over the treated area. Do not pick, pull or scratch at the carbon crust. 

 

Do not use alcohol based products on the treated area as this will prolong healing.

 

 

PMU & TATTOO Removal

Aftercare

 
  • Wash the area with soap and water after one hour of the procedure.

  • Apply Vaseline or Vaseline based aftercare products for 5 days, from 3 to 5 times a day in a thin layer as it dries.
 
  
 
  • There may be slight skin flaking after 3-6 days.
 
 
 
  • Sometimes the color may appear brighter for 2-3 days, but after the first week it will begin to fade

WHAT TO AVOID

Avoid saunas.

 

Avoid direct contact with sunlight.

 

Avoid makeup and skincare products until all scabs have fallen off.
